We thank you for taking the time to browse through our extensive collection of beautiful jewelry pieces. We look forward to creating a valuable relationship with you; by helping you choose the perfect jewelry to make joyous lifetime memories. Beginnings start with us, and we would like to share with you how our business started, where we are now, and where we are headed in the future.
In his youth, our president and CEO, co-founder/co-owner of A&E Jewelers, Mr. Rich Meyer, was an avid coin collector. As co-owner of a landscaping company with Corinne, he still never lost his passion for coins. Corinne Meyer, co-owner/co-founder and vice president of A&E Jewelers, would have vivid dreams of jewelry. At first, Corinne did not understand the meaning of her dreams. One day Rich shared with Corinne his desire to open a coin store. At that moment, Corinne’s vivid dreams of jewelry made perfect sense. Coins and jewelry go together!
In 1992, Rich and Corinne started buying and selling coins at coin shows. This led to them starting a coin buying and selling business from their home. As their business flourished, they decided to take the leap and open their very first coin and jewelry store. In 1994, Vintage Coin and Jewelry opened. The store was located in a hidden corner within a strip mall in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As the jewelry side of the store began to grow, Rich and Corinne pursued further education from the highly accredited Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and joined with the Independent Jewelers of America organization. Corinne had a wonderful eye for detail, so she specialized in jewelry repair and custom goldsmithing.
Rich and Corinne’s commitment to exceptional client service helped them to become one of the area’s most trusted and respected jewelers in the area. Their philosophy of creating a welcoming family friendly atmosphere for their clients is at the heart of our brand.
Rich and Corinne fell in love with all the aspects of the Jewelry business and decided to expand their horizons. In 1999 they built their first Affordable Elegance store on the corner of highway 41 and Ninth Street in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They later decided to shorten the name; hence the birth of A&E Jewelers!
A&E Jewelers is truly a family business. Rich and Corinne’s son, Quintin, is fully involved in every aspect of the business. In 2009, when Quintin expressed that he would love nothing more than to devote his career within the family business, Rich and Corinne decided to build a Neenah, Wisconsin location. Quintin’s commitment to hard work adds a valuable asset to the business. Some of his areas of expertise are marketing, photography, IT, and human resource development. The entire Meyer family has built a legacy they can be proud of.
While they were in the process of building the Neenah location, the growing Fond du Lac market caught their attention. In 2010, they built another store in Fond du Lac, just off highway 41.
Throughout the years, Rich and Corinne were involved extensively in road buying gold, silver, and coins. Marinette Wisconsin was one of their favorite locations and had many requests to open a store in that area. In 2011, they built their Marinette store. In that same year, Pandora approached Rich and Corinne about opening a Pandora store in Appleton, Wisconsin. They thought it was a wonderful opportunity. Their Pandora store is located in the Fox River Mall in Appleton Wisconsin.
In 2012, they found a great location on the east side of Appleton. As no jewelry stores were in this rapidly growing area, they couldn’t resist building their Appleton location located on Calumet Street in Appleton Wisconsin. Their Appleton East location opened in October of 2012.
Each location has been built and designed to be as unique as the communities they serve. The most important details within this process are client service and comfort. Knowing that some people may feel intimidated when walking into a jewelry store, they wanted to bring the comforts of home inside their stores and create a welcoming atmosphere for their clients.
Rich and Corinne realize that having businesses within a community is only the beginning; getting involved helps to change lives. Rich, Corinne, and Quintin have completely devoted their time and hearts in supporting numerous charities and foundations. Animals bring such joy and love into so many lives, their favorite charities are the local animal shelters.
